Kick Start the New School Year
FFT Education is inviting school governors to kick start the new school year by signing up to a free webinar.
The FFT Aspire Overview for School Governors webinars are taking place on:
- Thursday 29 September at 3 pm and 8pm;
- Friday 30 September at 10am;
- Thursday 24 November at 8pm;
- Friday 25 November at 12 noon;
- Thursday 26 January, 2017 at 2pm and 8pm.
Governors logging on to the online events are able to view the FFT Governor Dashboard and discover how FFT Aspire supports governors in their roles. The FFT Governor Dashboard, developed in partnership with the National Governors’ Association and the Wellcome Trust, is available through FFT Aspire which is FFT’s reporting and data tool for schools, local authorities and academy trusts.
Subscribing schools can download the Governor Dashboard from FFT Aspire and share it easily with governors. Alternatively governors can be provided with their own account, giving access to not only the Governor Dashboard but also a range of other information to aid their ‘support and challenge’ role.
Through a simple dashboard, governors can see how their school compares to the national average and how it performs in different subjects. It also identifies whether any specific groups of pupils are under-performing, making it ideal for planning inspections.
Webinars last for half an hour and consist of an overview of each topic. Those logging on will also have the chance to interact with webinar hosts and presenters – who are specialists in each topic – by asking questions.
Available only online, the webinars are part of a series of free FFT events on a variety of topics.
