Nominations Now Open for Herts for Learning non-exec directors
HfL have commenced an election process to recruit 3 x primary phase and 1 x special phase non-exec directors onto the HfL Board. Details of this process are given below:
Election process for Herts for Learning non-executive directors
The Herts for Learning (HfL) Board includes six elected school non-executive directors who take up post for a term of three years. In November 2020, there will be a vacancy on the HfL Board for a non-executive director elected by special phase school shareholders and in January 2021, there will be three vacancies for non-executive directors elected by primary phase school shareholders.
As part of the election process, HfL’s shareholding schools from the relevant phases are invited to nominate non-executive directors to represent them on the HfL Board. There will then be a voting period for schools to elect the non-executive director(s) to represent their phase.
The timeframe for the election process is as follows:

Nominations close | 5pm on Friday 23 October 2020 |
Details of nominees and link to electronic voting form issued | Monday 2 November 2020 |
Close of voting period | 5pm on Friday 20 November 2020 |
Result of election announced | Thursday 26 November 2020 |
Non-executive directors appointed | Special phase: Monday 30 November Primary phase: Wednesday 6 January 2021 |
